  The Canal and River Trust Yorkshire and East Midlands

All Branch activities on the property of the Trust are run by the local branch organizer. We undertake regular moth trapping sessions, and butterfly counts and monitor mammals. We have been kindly allocated access to specified Trust properties to aid us in our work. Contact Dr Robert Tansey:


The Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Entomological Society

We work in association with DANES and some of our members are members of DANES.

Long Eaton Natural History Society
LENS meets monthly during the winter months at the Long Eaton School NG10 3NP at 7 pm every second Monday unless otherwise advised. Practical conservation sessions are undertaken at Forbes Hole Nature Reserve NG10 1FX at 10am every Monday. Their Secretary is Marion Bryce:


Nottinghamshire Bat Group

NBG undertake regular bat detecting evenings throughout the year, along with some training sessions, please contact them directly for up to date details etc. Group contact is Michael Walker:


The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust allows the North Notts Group of  BNA members to undertake certain species surveys on some of its properties.
